On June 28 Western Bulldogs President Peter Gordon announced Susan Alberti would be made President of the Club for AFL women’s round. Sue has worked hard for many years to build the profile of women’s football and said she was honoured to be appointed Club President for the weekend celebration of the contribution of women to Australian Rules Football. The curtain raiser to the Melbourne v Western Bulldogs match on June 29 will be an historic all women affair. The two teams were drawn from the best female footballers across Australia. The Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation is a key sponsor of the game.
