On December 6 Susan Alberti participated in a symposium on the last day of the World Diabetes Congress in Melbourne. As part of a discussion ‘The diabetes cure – where are we?’ Sue was invited to give her insights into raising money to support the drive for a cure. Over 30 years Sue has raised millions of dollars toward the treatment, prevention and cure for type 1 diabetes, in addition to a significant personal donation to the cause. The World Diabetes Congress has attracted more than 10,000 conference participants to Australia.
