On February 11 Susan Alberti was delighted to join with the Western Health community in celebrating the opening of a redeveloped children’s ward at the Sunshine campus. Sue was a strong supporter of a public appeal held over the past 18 months to fund the ward’s redevelopment. “The ward serves more than 7000 children every year and provides specialist paediatric care to some of our most vulnerable kids,” Sue said. “It is pleasing that in addition to the first rate health facilities, the new ward will give families, who can be often bedside with their children in hospital for days on end, a more comfortable experience.”
