On June 28 Susan Alberti was guest speaker at the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League’s sixth annual ‘Women in Sport’ lunch, held at the Sandhurst Club in Skye. In front of 150 guests Sue talked about her long association with football and in particular her passion for women’s football. The lunch coincided with the annual AFL women’s round. As part of the event Mrs Margaret Tracey from the Mt Eliza Football Netball Club was awarded MPNFL Woman of the Year. Since 1965 Mrs Tracey has been a living legend at the Redlegs with players affectionately referring to her as ‘Mrs T’, ‘Mrs Trace’, ‘Marg’ or in most cases it’s just ‘Mum’. [row]
