On November 28 Susan Alberti attended Glengala Primary School’s ‘Class of 2013’ graduation evening at the Sunshine West school.
Since 2008 Sue has funded scholarships for academic excellence and citizenship for two grade six students. The bursary is used by the families of the successful student to assist with the cost of education including books, uniforms and tuition fees.
Sue said the scholarships were a small way in which she could help support the education of young people living in Melbourne’s west.
“I first came to know the Glengala Primary School community when I was part of the ‘Principal for a Day’ program five years ago,” she said.
“I wanted to do something to support the further education of two outstanding students each year and am delighted that now ten students in total have benefited from my annual bursary.”
