On September 25 Susan Alberti attended the Essendon Football Club’s Grand Final week lunch where Peta Searle was crowned football’s ‘woman of the year’. Sue said she nominated Peta for the prestigious honour following her appointment as St Kilda’s Assistant Coach earlier this year. “As a former recipient of this honour, I am delighted Peta has been awarded for her persistence, nous and football smarts,” Sue said. “There is no-one more worthy of being crowned the 2014 football woman of the year.”
