AFL Women’s Round inaugural draft

Sue Alberti unveils the inaugural Western Bulldogs women’s round jumper

On May 15 Susan Alberti attended the first ever AFL Women’s draft, which was held in the lead up to the inaugural all female clash between Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs on Saturday June 29.

It will be the first time AFL clubs have competed in an AFL-sanctioned women’s match. As a long time Western Bulldogs supporter and sponsor of the Victorian Women’s Football League, Sue will be supporting the event through a sponsorship by the Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation of both teams.

“It was always a dream of mine growing up barracking for the Western Bulldogs to run out onto the MCG in a doggies jumper,” Sue said.

“I can’t wait to see these girls compete at the highest level on June 29.”
