About SAMRF
Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation (SAMRF) is chaired by Susan Alberti, supported by a Board of Directors who bring a range of finance and business skills to support the work of the Foundation. SAMRF is dedicated to raising money for medical research, through a series of annual fundraising events including a Gala Ball which has been held in Melbourne for almost 30 years.
The Foundation is assisted by an enthusiastic band of volunteers and supporters who are committed to furthering medical research in Australia.
SAMRF has raised millions of dollars since its inception.
SAMRF carefully evaluates how it distributes every dollar donated, with a high degree of transparency and accountability. SAMRF has ‘deductible gift recipient’ (DGR) status from the Australian Tax Office.
SAMRF is helping to deliver tomorrow’s medical discoveries, today.
